Day 12’s challenge was to learn a new seed bead stitch.  I chose St. Petersburg Chain.  Fusion Beads has a really nice tutorial that was easy to understand and follow – http://www.fusionbeads.com/St-Petersburg-Stitch.

This stitch was relatively easy and it worked up quickly.  Instead of going all the way around in the same direction, I decided to do separate pieces for symmetry.  I connected the two pieces with a ladder stitch then worked a few rows of flat herringbone before adding the fringe.  It’s a bit longer than choker length so it lays right at the base of my neck.

Materials: size 11/0 and 8/0 seed beads, 6lb Fireline

Techniques: St. Petersburg stitch, ladder stitch, flat herringbone, seed bead fringe
